Lake Blackshear Retreat & Conference Center offers new lakeview villas, well-equipped lakeside cabins, and complete camping facilities for tent or RV camping. Glamping tents are also available.
In South Georgia, there’s something new with a stunning lake view! Lake Blackshear Retreat & Conference Center now offers 24 individual villa rooms with separate entrances in 6 modern lakeside villas. Interior décor is lake-inspired, including nature-based art by a local creator. All villa rooms have individual screened patios, and are non-smoking. Want even more fresh air? For an added charge, you can also enjoy a screened common area that has a kitchen, rocking chairs, and Murphy bed.

Want to experience your own cottage getaway? At Lake Blackshear Retreat & Conference Center, each of ten lakeside cabins has two large bedrooms, a living room with a fireplace, a large bath, and a fully equipped kitchen, plus a grill and a screened porch with a rocking chair. With comfortable, rustic décor, each cabin gives you your own space to unwind after days enjoying boating and fishing on the 8,700-acre lake and exploring varied activities such as archery, riflery, and visits to the military museum in Georgia Veterans State Park.
All cabins are non-smoking, and pet-friendly with a $75 fee.

Stylish and spacious, canvas-swathed safari tents decorated in cabin chic at Lake Blackshear Retreat & Conference Center provide extra room for families and friend groups to enjoy. Choose between the Deluxe Safari Tent (one king bed and two bunk beds) or the Double Safari Tent (two queen beds).
Lake Blackshear Retreat & Conference Center is a water-view wonderland for campers. The campground has 82 campsites, including lakeside and forest-set spots for pitching tents, securing trailers, parking RVs, and tying up watercraft alongside your space. Additionally, Georgia Veterans State Park maintains two primitive Pioneer Campsites, a favorite of non-profit groups such as scouts, schools, and church groups.
All our powered sites are suitable for tent, travel trailer, and motor home campers.
We are a pet-friendly state park, under the condition that pets are non-aggressive and always kept on a six-foot leash. Pet waste cleanup stations are provided.
